About
Stella is a British artist based in Edinburgh whose work is inspired by nature and the Scottish outdoors. As a rock climber and hillwalker she is energised by the places she explores and captures these experiences in her paintings, using an organic geometric style to draw attention to shapes and movement. Beyond landscapes, her other abstract works are representative of energies and feelings experienced through meditation. All of her paintings are created using acrylic on card and some are finished with metallic paint and pen to add magic to the image.
After studying Fine Art at A-level she decided not to continue with this subject at university which resulted in her not painting for over 10 years. It wasn’t until 2017 that she tapped back into this creative expression as a route to healing from illness. Over time this creative remedy has bloomed into a collection of work that inspires and encourages viewers to open their minds to the beauty around them.
